If you want to create a report in SCOPELAND, you can do this under the menu function “New/Page” or with “Open”. Afterwards you can either search for the desired base table for the first query or select it directly from the displayed directory structure. The search function is very helpful, because it not only searches context-sensitive in the logical name, but also in the physical table name and even in the name of the logical database. This allows you to quickly find the optimal entry point even in large databases, regardless of whether you have good and understandable meta-information about the database or have to search through the physical names.
With “new page” you get to a subdialog, where you can simply select the form for the desired result: an ad-hoc report (to be printed from SCOPELAND), a Word or Excel document, a web page, etc…
The specification, which fields should be included in the data view (report), was selected via a selection mask (in Scopeland this always works like this – i.e. via the selection of reasonably available alternatives, which Scopeland determines from the database itself).
